Mid-West Family – Southwest Michigan helped to establish the fund back in 1999. This fund has also attracted contributions from several additional donors. A Foundation committee proactively identifies highly deserving non-profit programs in the community each year to receive the grant dollars available from the fund.
The Berrien Community Foundation was established in 1952 as an innovative means by which any concerned individual can put charitable dollars to work for the benefit of Berrien County through funds like the Coast Cares for Kids Endowment Fund.
