Rihanna has always blazed her own trail, and Forbes magazine says she’s done pretty well — giving her a prime spot on its list of Richest Self-Made Women.
RiRi is the highest ranking female musician on the list, landing at number-33 with a fortune of $600 million. She filled her coffers through music first, but most of the dough came from her Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty lingerie lines. RiRi’s tally doesn’t include the cash from her charitable Clara Lionel Foundation, which raised $22.5 million for COVID-19 relief.
Other female musicians on the list include Madonna, with a net worth of $550 million; Celine Dion, who’s saved up $455 million; and Beyoncé, who’s banked $420 million. Barbra Streisand, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga also made the Top 100.
In case you were “Wonder” -ing, Shawn Mendes will release a documentary about his new album just before Thanksgiving.
Wonder, which premiered earlier this fall at the Toronto International Film Festival, will start its streaming run on November 23rd. The film chronicles the making of Shawn’s Wonder album and looks at some of the charitable work he does through the Shawn Mendes Foundation.
The album drops on December 4th.
Miley Cyrus has been promising a new album for nearly two years, but she’s now insisting that, like she pledged way back when, “Miley Cyrus Is Coming.”
She tells Nashville’s River 107.5 that the comeback set, now titled She Is Miley Cyrus, is completely wrapped up. Miley says, “I actually listened to a bunch of it in my car today and everything is so sounding so wicked. And one of the things I love about it is the diversity of sound that it does have, just like the Backyard Sessions that I’m going to do with the covers. It really just tells a story and I feel like the Gallery not found. Please check your settings. is sonically me. If it could take a physical form, it would paint a picture of myself. So, the influences range from Dolly [Parton] to Stevie [Nicks], to Joan [Jett], to [Chris] Cornell.”
In addition to looking forward, Smiley is doing a little looking back — to her Hannah Montana days. She says, “At some point, I’m definitely getting the wig out of storage.”
