The Berrien Community Foundation is now taking applications for this year’s first round of For Good Grants.
BCF Program Director Susan Matheny tells us the For Good Grant program is among the organization’s largest. The grants seek to further the BCF’s mission of being “For Good, Forever” by supporting projects that improve the community.
“Everything from arts and culture to projects that affect youth or children,” Matheny said. “We welcome projects that empower our seniors in our community. Anything health-related, mental and physical. And of course, we’re always happy to entertain programs that educate our community members.”
Matheny says the grants come in two forms: major and minor. Minor For Good Grants can be as much as $1,500, while major grants can be up to $15,000. There are two rounds of them each year so the Berrien Community Foundation can reach as many non-profits as possible.
Matheny says the For Good program last year supported 40 projects.
The deadline to apply for the spring round is April 1, and you can find the application page right here.
