State Representative Joey Andrews is speaking out after Flowers Early Learning locations in Southwest Michigan and Early Head Start programs throughout the state narrowly avoided shutting down due to uncertainty about federal funding last week.

The OutCenter Southwest Michigan and a coalition of partners from across the state have issued an open letter to Corewell Health’s Board of Directors and executive leadership after Corewell announced last week it’s no longer providing gender-affirming care for new minor patients.

A meeting of the Atomic Safety Licensing Board will be held Wednesday to review Holtec International’s plans to restart the Palisades nuclear power plant in Van Buren County.
