State Representative Joey Andrews has been meeting with restaurant owners and staff for the past few months to find out how they feel about coming changes to the state’s minimum wage and paid sick time laws. 

Governor Gretchen Whitmer and the Michigan Community Service Commission have announced the 38 individuals, businesses, and non-profits who will be honored at the 2024 Governor’s Service Awards for their commitment to volunteerism, service, or philanthropy next month, and among the honorees are some Southwest Michigan residents. 

In recognition of National Bullying Prevention Month, Coloma Community Schools has invited Berrien County Prosecutor Amy Byrd to talk to students about cell phone use.
